What the PLC Health Check measures
You rate 16 statements, from “Consistently in place” to “Not yet in place.” They cover four conditions:
- Structure: protected meeting time, stable roles, a clear instructional focus, and a process for revisiting PLC decisions.
- Facilitation Skill: whether PLC leaders can keep teams on evidence of student learning and move them to a specific instructional decision.
- Shared Understanding: whether staff share a common understanding of what PLCs are supposed to accomplish.
- Sustained Investment: useful data, materials and tools, and follow-up support when teams hit implementation barriers.
